We are fundraising to save our youth

Prior the National Health crisis, children beginning in kindergarten did not have equal access to opportunities necessary to reach their full human potential. Now, more than every underserved youth continue to struggle in learning and gaining the skills to succeed beyond middle school.

We join with other nonprofits and organizations such as The Community Foundation to eliminate social and economic disparities to help individuals, families or collective groups improve their economic status and ensure that every student in the Maryland counties, we serve, is afforded the opportunities necessary to reach their full human potential unencumbered by race or ethnicity.

Help us by supporting our programs that increase the high school graduation rate, by reducing chronic absenteeism; making sure students attend school everyday. Children who are chronically absent in kindergarten and first grade are less likely to be proficient readers by third grade. By sixth grade, those who miss more than 10 percent of school are more likely to drop out altogether. Chronic school absenteeism has been linked poor life outcomes, from poverty and poor physical and mental health to involvement in the criminal justice system.

Your donation will allow us to create and maintain our mental health programs, Learning Pods, tutoring and mentoring. Our programs address these issues as part of its focus on racial equity and economic mobility.

Keep our doors open, so that we can continue to give hope to the youth, teens and families we serve.
